Who am i ?

I’m Dara La Malice, a 30 year-old artist and writer based in Bordeaux, France.
Since childhood, I’ve been captivated by horror, science fiction, and fantasy, especially their lore, their villains, monsters, and the technologies and mechanisms that bring these universes to life.

I started playing video games when I was 7, with Half-Life and Unreal Tournament 2003, before spending years (and most of my money) onto MMORPGs like Dofus and World of Warcraft. Even back then, I knew I wanted to build worlds of my own someday.

Before turning to art full-time, I began my professional life in the French Air and Space Force. Those years taught me discipline, resilience, work ethic and most importantly, that I couldn’t live a life where imagination wasn’t allowed to thrive.

Now retired from the military, I’ve embraced the chance to chase my lifelong dream.

How do i art ?

I work on two tablets : iPad pro and Wacom Cintiq 27QHD.
My main apps are Procreate, Photoshop, and Blender for my artistic workflow, and Milanote for writing and worldbuilding support.

I have a deep faith in the power of art, lore, and genuine attention to detail. I know how to stay focused and deliver on time, but if you give me a project where I can dig deep, that’s when I truly unleash the full potential of my Mighty Buff of Neurodivergence : ↑INT +30 / ↑FOCUS +50 / ↑STAMINA +90 / ↓VERBAL –30.
