Season 25 saw the return of Apex Legends’ Arenas, this time with an exciting twist : 1v1 duels.
Respawn reached out and asked me to create the visual assets for the teaser video of the new mode, in close collaboration with the game’s narrative team. ☺

The project included two main illustrations with some variants:

>> The first recreated the setting from the original Arena teaser back in Season 9 and had for variations holograms of the Arena sigil and a bust of Ash overlooking the scene, with some elements to animate.

>> The second illustration was designed as a versus screen inspired by classic fighting games :
Ash versus Ash, with her face transforming into Leigh, the second identity within her body.

It was a fun and fulfilling project done in a short deadline. As a total lore nerd, it was crazy to work with the narrative team ! ♥
